What was new in '22: Historical track maps of the long-gone Brooklyn Els of the early-to-mid 20th Century. They're all here: Brooklyn's Lexington Ave. Line, Fulton Street, Myrtle Avenue, and the massive Sands Street and Park Row terminals. All the old routes--and even their marker signal codes--are included! The South Brooklyn Railway is also depicted, including it's sidings and interchanges.
As always, the book depicts every track (with track numbers), every yard, every station, and many diverging route home signals. The book also encompasses the latest capital improvements, signal changes and track/signal renewal projects, including the newly-reopened 42nd St. Shuttle reconfiguration. As with past editions, Grand Central, the Park Avenue tunnels, Penn Station, PATH, and the Staten Island Railway track maps are also included. Current fleet data and train service requirements have also been updated.
The 2022 book is 172 pages in length, spiral-bound in 8 1/2 x 11" format. Note that the PDF version is intended strictly for on-screen viewing and is not printable.
SHIPPING NOTE: For customers in the United States but located outside the immediate NYC region, Priority Mail or UPS delivery is strongly recommended. While generally fine for the tri-state area, the cheaper Media Mail option can take up to three weeks to arrive, especially during November and December, and tracking information is not always reliable.
Economy shipping of the printed book is available for customers in the USA. Delivery times may be longer than Priority Mail (up to 10 days is possible), but for shipping to NYC and environs it's usually about 3 days. Note: UPS shipping is uninsured. If you choose UPS and your package is damaged in transit it will not be replaced. This is a result of a change to UPS insurance terms that excludes shipments of poly bag merchandise.

Having grown up in NYC my first "rail system" was the NY subway, IRT, BMT, and IND. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about a new level of detail (and history) by reading this book cover to cover. I also learned a LOT about various aspects of the system, since there is much more to this book than just track maps. Highly, highly recommended

I have been buying this fantastic book since it started. In the old days I used to scan each page and put it on my iPad (or other device) and actually follow along when I rode the subway. Now Peter supplies a PDF copy that I put on my iPad without having to scan it. I used to travel to High School on the subway back in the 60s. I wish I had this book then. So many questions would have been answered. I remain a dedicated subway fan although I don't get to ride it as much as I used to, but I would be uncomfortable riding without it.
